Plans, directs, and coordinates the human resource management activities of the organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as compensation, benefits, recruitment, personnel policies, employee relations, employee development and regulatory compliance.

 

Essential Functions:

Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all staff.

 

Plans and organizes all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

 

Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

 

Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration .

 

Conducts recruitment effort for all personnel, oversees new-employee orientations; monitors employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.

 

Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.

 

Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Ability to advise, counsel and influence all levels of staff from executive to entry level non-exempt.  Successful experience in operating in an environment with heavy workload, changing priorities, short deadlines and minimal resources.

 

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of management within and outside the company.

 

Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.  Excellent computer proficiency including the ability to utilize software programs for creating documents.

 

Minimum  Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and 5 years Human Resources experience, or

A master's degree in Human Resources Management and 3 years experience in the HR field, or Any appropriate combination of education and experience.
