Gloria Oliver sat down and gave me what she called her “testimony”. It was heartfelt! I got a call from one of our food bank partners Atlanta International Christian Praise Center, they informed me of excess food to be distributed to the residents. Ms. Oliver with tears in her eyes began telling me her story. She said that she called her sister and asked could she put $20 in her account to make it until pay day, which was on the first. Her sister let her know that she couldn’t afford to do it this time because of outstanding car repair bills. Gloria said she was upset and did not know how she was going to make it through the next couple of days. Her sister said where is your faith Gloria? At that very moment I announced on the intercom system that the food bank is open and has extra food today. She put down the phone rushed down stairs to ask a neighbor for a ride to the food bank. The food bank was generous, she was given two big bags of food including fresh meats, breads and canned goods. She thanked me a hundred times for providing her with a food resource. This had to be one of the proudest moments of my RSC career.
