Celebrating Our Residents—and the Coordinators Who Champion Their Growth

At Better Tomorrows, we believe opportunity grows when people feel supported—and that belief came to life across 40 Michaels communities, where our on-site Social Service Coordinators serve every day with intention and care. Through The Michaels Organization Educational Foundation Scholarship Program, 94 residents were awarded a combined $741,000 in scholarships to continue their education and expand their futures.
These scholarships give recipients the freedom to attend an accredited college, university, trade school, or technical program—choosing the educational path that best fits their goals and life plans. Whether they’re training for a new career, building a skill, or earning a degree, this support allows residents to take meaningful steps forward.
Better Tomorrows Coordinators supported residents throughout the scholarship process—organizing outreach events, answering questions, and encouraging applicants to move forward with confidence. Their consistent presence helped make the process approachable, personal, and impactful.
We’re proud to spotlight three coordinators whose communities saw the highest number of scholarship recipients:
Naomi Calle | Naomi supported 10 residents across three sites—Barbara Place, Glennview, and Woodward Terrace—showing how steady guidance and presence across multiple communities can lead to lasting impact.
Karl Edwards | Karl’s support helped 8 residents at Park Spring Apartments successfully submit their applications. His thoughtful approach ensured applicants felt seen and supported from start to finish.
Ceara Febo | Ceara supported 7 residents at Village Park Apartments, creating a space where encouragement and clarity helped each applicant believe in their potential and take the next step with confidence.
