Ed joined Better Tomorrows as a Social Service Coordinator and Supervisor in 2013. He previously worked for Michael’s Management for 18 years as a Social Service Coordinator for a family property that won the 2011 National Community of Quality Exemplary Family Property Crystal Award. He served on the development team for Michael’s Management that developed Better Tomorrows into a Non-profit 501c3. He has 43 years professional clinical and social work experience providing an array of recreational, social, educational and therapeutic programs to children and families. He worked for a community mental health agency for 16 years providing services that included crisis intervention, case management, individual, educational, support and psychotherapy groups and family therapy as well as supervision and program development.
Ed’s primary focus has been serving children with emotional, behavioral and social needs and has served as a mentor, advocate, facilitator, mediator, foster parent and legal guardian in this regard.
Ed has also served the needs of the Latino and Migrant community by serving on the boards of Casa Nueva Vida and Centro Hispano in West Chester, Chester County. He has engaged in a myriad of Latino community organizing efforts throughout Chester County including supporting the organization efforts by Alianza within the Latino and migrant community in Phoenixville, Pa.
Ed has a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Shippensburg University and is fluent in Spanish and English. His interests include swimming, hiking, fishing, thrift shopping and garage sales.
