Camden, New Jersey, October 15 – Today Better Tomorrows, a nonprofit that provides supportive services for affordable housing residents and its partner, The Michaels Organization, a national leader in residential real estate and the largest private-sector owner of affordable housing in the country, hosted a celebration at Mi Casa Village to recognize the donation of computers to Michaels communities from Electronic Access Foundation. A nonprofit group that refurbishes donated computer equipment and in turn donates them to charitable organizations, the Electronic Access Foundation chose Better Tomorrows as a recipient because of the work the organization does to help affordable housing residents set and achieve life goals for themselves and their families.
Electronic Access Foundation donated 16 computers to be housed in the computer labs of four of Michaels affordable housing communities including Mi Casa Village, Morgan Village, Roosevelt Manor 5, and Roosevelt Manor 9 & 10, all in Camden, NJ. American Architectural Widow & Door contributed to funding to aid in the launch of this targeted effort. The computers will be used to aid residents in doing school work, finding needed resources, preparing for and applying for employment and accessing vital social service and educational programs.
“Having access to technology is no longer a luxury.  It has become a basic necessity, especially during this time, said Howard Tucker, President and CEO of Better Tomorrows.  “We are thankful for this gift and the impact it makes on our ability to magnify opportunities for our residents.”
