Marionne Fernandez Named Deputy Director of Service Delivery
Marionne Fernandez is now serving Better Tomorrows’ Impact and Service Delivery team in a new capacity as Deputy Director of Service Delivery.
“Because of the hard work of the Strategic Planning and Implementation committees and other Service Delivery team members, we have created great systems to keep our program standards and service operations on track, ” says Executive Director Pat Schwartz. In her new role, Ms. Fernandez will work to make sure that these systems and processes are being followed throughout Better Tomorrows’ portfolios. She will also work with the team to build on current Service Delivery policies and procedures as the department needs continue to evolve. This will increase integrity and accountability amongst the teams and ensure the consistency of service excellence that Better Tomorrows provides.
In the last several years, the team of Impact and Service Delivery managers has also grown significantly in efforts to promote from within and create closer-knit regional teams. Ms. Fernandez will now supervise a select group of Associate Directors and Regional Lead Social Service Coordinators in order to make sure that everyone is getting enough time, attention and follow-up.
Ms. Fernandez joined Better Tomorrows as a Social Service Coordinator in November of 2015 at The Communities at Lafayette in Jersey City, NJ. After earning her bachelor’s degree in social work, Summa Cum Laude, she was eager to start her career in social services and enjoyed providing beneficial programming and services to the residents. In 2017, she was selected as the Better Tomorrows High Achiever for her service and accomplishments.
In January 2020, she was promoted to a Regional Lead Social Service Coordinator, overseeing both the Newark and Jersey City sites, which quickly led to another promotion in July 2020 to Regional Associate Director of the New England Region. Since then, she has been dedicated to supporting and leading a team of Social Service Coordinators in North Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, providing them with the resources and support to excel in their role whilst delivering quality services to all residents.
Ms. Fernandez is excited to take the next step as Deputy Director of Service Delivery and feels honored by the opportunities she has earned to grow in her career especially in the area that she is most passionate about.
