The Marshall and Carling SROs are located in the historic Old Town neighborhood of Chicago.
Situated on LaSalle Dr and Division, the buildings are just minutes from Downtown Chicago and also close to North Avenue Beach.
Old Town has a very diverse ethnic and economic population. The Marshall and The Carling are one of many SRO buildings in the area. Moody Bible Institute has been located in Old Town area for many years.
First settled by German immigrants in 1850, Old Town is popular with architecture buffs who come to admire its Victorian-era buildings, quaint streets and shops. Tree-lined Wells Street features the revered Second City comedy club, old-school pubs, charming eateries and artisanal coffee shops, as well as quirky boutiques. St. Michael’s Church is one of the few structures in Chicago to survive the Great Fire of 1871.

Our Partners
The Marshall/Carling has partnered with a few Community Partners. This past year we had a Health and Wellness workshop hosted by Harmony Hope and Healing. We utilized a space at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for the workshop which lasted 6 weeks. We learned how music can be a calming factor when we are stressed.
We received food boxes from Chicago City Church for both the Marshall and the Carling.
Walgreens along with TMO hosted a Covid Vaccine clinic where 70 residents from the neighborhood received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Our team continuously strives to make The Marshall and The Carling an inclusive, supportive living space. We are trying to get a community space for our residents. Can you help us achieve this goal?
